Meet Our Staff

Dr. Paul Gutacker

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Paul Gutacker serves as executive director of Brazos Fellows. Paul also lectures part-time in the History Department at Baylor University, where he received his Ph.D. in History. Additionally, he holds the Th.M. and MA in Theological Studies from Regent College (Vancouver, B.C.). His second book, coming in 2025 from Moody Publishers, invites emerging adults to take on a common rule of life. Paul, his wife Paige, and their children James, Marianne, and Matthew enjoy life in Waco, TX where they like to fish, go camping, and cheer on the Buffalo Bills.

Paige Gutacker

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

Paige Gutacker serves as assistant director of Brazos Fellows and as a coach trainer for Fluxify. Paige holds an MA in Theological Studies from Regent College, a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Truett Seminary, and a professional life coaching credential. Her interests include spiritual formation, mentoring, caregiving, technology and the soul, the spirituality of food, vocation and decision-making, and hospitality. She particularly enjoys baking together with her three enthusiastic young children.

Rev. Dr. Jonathan Kanary

CHAPLAIN & SCHOLAR IN RESIDENCE

Jonathan Kanary serves as Chaplain and Scholar in Residence for Brazos Fellows and as Associate Priest at Christ Church Waco. He received his MDiv and STM from Nashotah House Theological Seminary and the Ph.D. in English from Baylor University, where he is a Visiting Scholar in the Honors College. As a member of the Liturgy Task Force for the Anglican Church in North America, he helped revise the Book of Common Prayer (2019). Father Jonathan loves spending time with his wife Hannah, eating and laughing with friends, drinking hot tea, and reading children’s books aloud to adults.
