course of study
The four components of the Brazos Fellows program aim at holistic education and spiritual formation.
The first component centers around a rigorous course of study, taught by our director Paul Gutacker (Th.M. Regent College; Ph.D. candidate, Baylor University), which will introduce you to the Christian theological tradition, the history of Christianity, and seminal works of Christian spirituality.
Over nine months, we'll immerse ourselves in Augustine's Confessions, The Sayings of the Desert Fathers, Julian of Norwich's mystical writings, the poetry of George Herbert, and many other classics from the Christian tradition. Whether you're headed into ministry or business, the readings, lectures, discussions, and weekend seminars will help you think about your work theologically.
